Meet Belinda & The Team
I learnt hairdressing in my home country of Ghana, encouraged by my grandmother, who believed that I had a natural talent for the profession. Practice makes perfect, but in those days mannequins were hard to come by so I practiced using hairy mangoes!
I continued to develop my hairdressing skills when marriage brought me to the UK. I started my business from home, with the desire to one day open a shop on the high street. As my client list grew, the dream of having my own shop on the high street became a reality and I opened my first salon almost eight years ago in Sittingbourne.
Since then, I have moved into bigger premises, still in Sittingbourne, and I now attract customers from all over North Kent. I offer a wide variety of styles for all hair types, including both Afro Caribbean and European styles, to a diverse and growing client base.
I believe hairdressing is a two-person art form - the client brings the style they want and we work together to create a look that suits them. My aim is to ensure that all my clients leave happy and satisfied with their new look. I strive to provide a top quality service at reasonable prices in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
I am keen to pass on my skills to other people who love this wonderfully creative profession. So, I also offer training in a variety of hairdressing techniques and have a dedicated training area above the salon. Check out my Academy page for details of the courses available. I do now use mannequin heads for training purposes rather than hairy mangoes!
